Why RG3 deserves Rookie of the Year

A lot of people have made the case for Andrew Luck to win the rookie of the year but I firmly believe the award clearly goes to Robert Griffin III. Not only is he the most exciting rookie out of this year’s class but he has the redskins at 6-6 & second in the NFC East which is one of the hardest divisions in football hands down. He's second in the league in passer rating only to Aaron Rogers & he's completed 67.1 percent of his passes which is number one for rookies this year. By comparison Peyton Manning only completed 56.7 percent of his passes his rookie year & it took Manning six years to reach a completion percentage of 67. I am not trying to hammer home that RG3 is better than Peyton but the numbers don’t lie he is having a better rookie campaign than Peyton had. Peyton also threw 28 INTS his rookie year; RG3 has 4 & Andrew Luck as 16. If that doesn’t convince you he's also fourth amongst rookies in rushing with 714 yds & 6 tds. If that doesn’t do it how about this, RG3 has the Redskins 3-1 in the NFC east, I don’t care who you are you’re lying through your teeth if you told me you saw this coming. I firmly believe this kid is having a special season & he deserves to be the rookie of the year & I'll go as far as saying he should be voted into the pro-bowl also.
